The Water Sports Centre provides a dedicated venue for various water sports activities, including dragon boating, kayaking and canoeing among others.
Located along the Kallang Basin, you can enjoy picturesque views of the skyline while engaging in the water sport of your choice. With canoes and kayaks available for rent, you can glide along the serene waters surrounded by the breath-taking urban landscape. As you don’t need a license for kayaking, it is perfect for both beginners and experienced paddlers. This activity can be fun as a solo adventure, with friends or family, or even as a romantic escape.
The Water Sports Centre is home to Singapore Canoe Federation and Singapore Dragon Boat Association. For those who want to take their paddling skills to the next level, you can consider the courses and programmes offered.
Level up your paddle power!
Interested parties can commence with the Kayak Orientation Programme, and proceed to attaining the Kayak 1 Star Personal Skill Award, and the Kayak 2 Star Personal Skill Award. The orientation programme touches on essential basics in just three hours and includes a mini tour of the Marina Reservoir. The Kayak 1 & 2 Star Personal Skill Awards are both 7-hour courses (including lunch break) that will introduce you to the sport and equipped you with necessary skills to successfully manoeuvre the kayak.
