The Singapore Sports Hub has revamped its venue tour, which is a unique journey through time that lends keen insights into Singapore’s sporting history. Led by knowledgeable guides, it brings participants to significant locations and artefacts. If you’d like to explore the rich sporting history of Singapore and take a sneak peek at the training grounds of our elite athletes, this is your chance!
The tour will commence from the Visitors Centre and the first stop will be at the Water Sports Centre, which has hosted important events like the Police Sea Sports Championship, Singapore Canoe Marathon and Singapore World Water Day, among many others. On regular days, members of the public can rent an assortment of vessels from the Water Sports Centre, such as canoes and kayaks, and even sign up for kayaking courses here.
The tour makes a quick stop at the Merdeka Lions, where you can take photos with these famous statues. Next, your guide will bring you to the instantly recognisable OCBC Aquatic Centre, where Singaporean swimming stalwarts like Quah Zheng Wen, Chantal Liew and Joseph Schooling have trained. Comprising two FINA standard swimming pools and one diving pool, this facility can seat up to 6,000 spectators.

Next up, the 100PLUS Promenade is where members of the public can exercise, rain or shine. This path encircles the 55,000-capacity National Stadium which has movable tiered seating and a retractable roof. You will get to visit our stadium’s Players’ Village too, which is where local and foreign athletes can relax in between competitions and receive post-match physical therapy.
After seeing the majestic exterior of Singapore Indoor Stadium, the tour will bring you past the Sports Hub Library and to the Singapore Sports Museum, which is the only sports-dedicated museum in Singapore. This engaging gallery was founded in 1983 with the objective of supporting the needs of the public, sports training academics and international sporting organisations. Within the Singapore Sports Museum, is the Singapore Youth Olympic Museum which traces the history of the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and is meant to emphasise the spirit and values of the Olympic Games to visitors, especially young people.
Corporate bookings of Singapore Sports Hub’s revamped venue tour have officially opened and tours will commence early August. For bookings and enquiries, click here. This tour is free for schools that want to book Learning Journeys for students.
