Football has earned its status as the world's favourite sport by transcending cultures and backgrounds to unite people through a shared passion for the beautiful game. To celebrate this beloved sport, the Singapore Sports Hub is thrilled to be part of the football festival happening this July!
And what better way to kick-off the inaugural Singapore Festival of Football Driven by CDG Zig than meeting some world-famous football stars?
The heat is on for football fans as we approach this highly anticipated week! Look forward to three exciting matches and two open training sessions featuring some of the most well-loved European teams, namely Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC, Leicester City FC and FC Bayern Munich.
Apart from catching the top stars in action on the field, the organisers have also unveiled a series of activities from 25 July to 2 August that will provide fans with once-in-a-lifetime chances to get up-close and personal with their revered legends right here at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Get your dose of world-class football at the first match on 26 July, when Tottenham Hotspur rounds off their Asia-Pacific tour in a Tiger Cup match against the Lion City Sailors. The last time the Spurs were here in 2019, fans witnessed a magical Harry Kane goal in stoppage time, which led them to win 3-2 against Juventus. This time, Spurs fans and AIA, the global principal partner of the club and the match here in Singapore, are anticipating an exhilarating match against the Lion City Sailors who will no doubt be bringing their flair onto the field.
Liverpool FC fans are expected to raise the roof in the National Stadium as they cheer the club on in their defence of the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy against Leicester City FC on 30 July. This is the club’s second visit to the Republic in two years after they beat Crystal Palace FC to win this trophy in 2022 to the delight of over 50,000 fans.
Leicester City FC, 2015/2016 Premier League champions, will be making their maiden visit to Singapore for this festival, giving their fans the unique opportunity to meet the team for the first time.
Liverpool FC are also slated to take on Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich in the Singapore Trophy, presented by Audi and Standard Chartered, on 2 August. This match will end the week-long extravaganza with a bang as it will be the first game between the two teams since Liverpool FC defeated FC Bayern Munich in the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions League. As the last time FC Bayern Munich played two matches in Singapore was way back in 2017, fans are burning with excitement to see them return to National Stadium once again.
Apart from catching the matches, fans can sit in to witness Tottenham Hotspur (25 July) or Liverpool FC (29 July) in training. Expect to be starstruck as legends such as Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel also make appearances in Singapore for the first time.
Other stars fans can catch in person here include Emile Heskey, Gerry Taggart, Ledley King, Giovane Elber, Claudio Pizarro, Gary McAllister and Ian Rush.

This first-ever Singapore Festival of Football Driven by CDG Zig has secured a line-up of notable partners. 100PLUS has been designated as the official hydration partner, ensuring participants stay refreshed throughout the event. Additionally, Standard Chartered, Liverpool FC's main partner, will return as the presenting partner for their matches.
